Kids Kreative Marketplace

School / Educational

Other

Through the Kids Kreative experience, youth are introduced to a developmental pathway that encourages them to identify ideas, develop products or services, understand basic business and financial concepts, establish their brand, communicate their value, engage customers, and ultimately participate as youth vendors in a real marketplace environment. The marketplace itself is important, but it is only one part of the experience. We want young people to understand what happens before the table is set up: What does something cost to produce? How should it be priced? What is profit? Who is the customer? How do you explain your product? What happens when something does not sell? How do you improve? How do you manage the money you earn? Those are lessons that become far more powerful when young people have an opportunity to apply them.
